Maintain product currency across CICS, CICS Transaction Gateway, Z/OS MQ and GT/Ivory, as well as providing operational support across 240 CICS regions within Development/Test and Production Environments.
Daily support functions include fielding calls from multiple development and test teams as they work through releases, updating and maintaining CICS transaction and overall system configurations to support ongoing EDS development.
The Systems Programmer (SP) role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core business & organizational functions.
Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of business systems, applications, software subsystems, and related system products/tools; the modification of hardware and software component specifications, development of requirements based upon interaction with clients and teammates, and the seamless integration of new software programs/applications/solutions into the computing environment throughout the business system lifecycle. Development, analysis, creation, testing, and/or modification of software programs/applications/solutions based on client/user requirements are key functions of this role.
Additional responsibilities include; coding, debugging, analyzing and implementing software programs, tools, utilities and applications; the daily operational execution of the business system to include processing, workflow and playbooks for the daily delivery of services, operation and recovery of the business system. Reviews systems under development and related documentation. Makes modifications to existing software to fit specialized needs and configurations, and maintains program libraries and technical documentation
This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of technology investments.

This position is responsible for the planning, design, development, execution, and management of the operational & support activities required to maintain and enhance functionality of the SunTrust business systems. Responsible for defining, deciding and implementing technical improvements/projects that increase the quality and availability of the business systems/service, related software subsystems and products/tool to ensure proper operation. Performs system software, tools/utilities and application assessments, modifications and enhancements; including development, implementation and operational validation activities for existing business systems. This position occasionally mentors less experienced staff.
