Job Title: Security Engineer - Data Loss Prevention, Governance, and Privacy
Location: first 6~ weeks will be fully onsite, then 3 days onsite/week and 2 days/week remote
Duration: 6 mos w/ strong likelihood of extension - long term project
Required Skills:
- Experience working on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Security projects: classifying data, what data is deemed sensitive, develop automated policies from information security office, create automated security blocker, securing data.
- Data integration experience: working with API's as that is how applications communicate with one another
- Automation: Power Automate or Logic Apps, Powershell, or Python
- Data privacy or data governance frameworks: PCI and CJI used most at DTech. PII or HIPAA okay too.
- Jira or Atlassian
Bonus Skills:
- SQL or Splunk as Siem
- Microsoft Purivew, used to be known as Microsoft 365 Compliance
- Varonis is DLP solution/vendor that is comparable
- Alert tuning: tools DTech uses include Splunk, Purview, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike
Responsibilities:
- Build out DLP program to leverage new tools and automate those tools. This individual will be helping onboard Microsoft Purview. Will be helping integrate data to Purview and set up alerts within, automated alerts. Will be migrating data from Atlassian Jira to Purview. These alerts will help Data Analysts on the team understand what security or data breached has happened.
- They will be troubleshooting DLP or Purview solution they built or troubleshooting why data isn't integrating correctly.
- 10-15% of the role will be Alert Tuning
