Law firm specializing in insurance defense and medical malpractice defense is seeking a full-time Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to join their Boca Raton, FL office.
Insurance Defense Experience, a plus
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- General attorney support;
- Digital dictation;
- Issuing and following up on subpoenas;
- Maintaining attorneys' calendar;
- Scheduling, coordinating and confirming hearings, depositions and mediations;
- Preparing and drafting correspondence and pleadings;
- Answering and propounding discovery;
- E-filing with State/Federal courts
Interested candidates must be punctual, detailed oriented with ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to take the initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done. Ability to understand and follow specific and detailed instructions in oral and written form. Knowledge of state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures. Excellent typing skills; Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document management applications (preferably Prolaw but not required).
