JOB DESCRIPTION
PAYROLL SPECIALIST: DETAILS
Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Franklin, TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $20-24 per hour
Type: Contract-to-hire or Direct Hire
Hours: Monday - Friday | 40 hours per week | 8am-5pm
100% in the office

REQUIREMENTS: PAYROLL SPECIALIST
* Excellent general computer skills with strong Excel experience and the ability to quickly learn new software.
* Would like at least 1-2 years of payroll experience (multi-state would be a huge plus)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-directed, pro-active work ethic.
* Ability to effectively work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to confidentially handle confidential and sensitive information and employee's payroll information.
* Ability to work as a team and remain flexible
* Ability to relate well and communicate with people of all levels
* Detail and organization skills
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems
* Regular attendance required

RESPONSIBILITIES: PAYROLL SPECIALIST
* Update employee records within the payroll system
* Computation of weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner within the payroll system
* Review time cards for accuracy
* Make adjustments for errors
* Respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll from employees
* Assist as needed on special projects
* All other duties as assigned.
