POSITION: SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: INDEPENDENCE, OH

INDUSTRY: MANUCATURING

A growing manufacturing company located in Independence, OH is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their well established team. This is an in-office position. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and works cross-functionally throughout the organization to help maintain, revise, and develop key financial procedure

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, analytics, reporting, and reconciliations for month-end close.
  • Lead annual physical inventory audit; maintain month-end inventory balances and analyze variances.
  • Maintain fixed assets subledger documentation and calculations.
  • Prepare banking and regulatory filings and maintain documents.
  • Monitor internal controls for effectiveness and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure timely tax filings and act as company liaison.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations through ad-hoc reports.
  • Serve as a business partner across the organization.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years experience (public/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and report generation.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
