Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a McLean based consulting firm in the search for their next Junior Accountant. This role will report directly to the Director of Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a background processing accounts payable and internal employee expense reports. This is a fully on-site position that will necessitate working in their local office in McLean, VA. If interested, please don't hesitate to apply with your most up-to-date resume!
Job Responsibilities
Prepare monthly invoices (draft and final) for billable projects, supported by detail charge reports and applicable copies of expense receipts (for T&M projects).
Utilize accounting system to drive the billing and invoicing process for contracts.
Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PMs) regarding contract documents, change orders, modifications, approvals, and any requests related to billing.
Resolve questions on invoices and interface with PMs and client counterparts.
Assess and pursue opportunities to maximize client billing. Discuss unbilled amounts with PMs to optimize billing opportunities for the period.
Follow up with PMs and clients on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
Prepare special project analyses for the PMs and others.
