Accounting Specialist - Newton, MA
We're working with a synagogue located in the greater Boston area looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team! This position will be 100% onsite and will report to the Director of Finance. The Accounting Specialist will assure the smooth, accurate and efficient daily operation of the office!
Responsibilities:
- Process receipts into accounts receivable system and generate bank deposits.
- Deposits to the General Fund processed twice a week.
- Process member and nonmember charges.
- Prepare a monthly billing report of all charges.
- Process all invoices and credit memos into accounts payable system weekly.
- Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 1+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience is a plus!
- Experience working with Microsoft office/accounting programs is a plus!
