Location: Fairview Heights, IL

Schedule: M-F 8:00 - 5:00 (onsite, potential for hybrid after training)

Pay: $18 - 21 / hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily preparation and submittal of claims to Medicaid and third-party payers, utilizing electronic claims submission
• Keeps updated on all billing and benefit changes for Medicaid and third-party carriers
• Verification of Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care/Commercial Insurance benefits prior to receipt of services.
• Prepares and processes timely and accurate fee-for-service claims to our contracted funders specific to residential treatment days, foster care days of care, transitional living days of care, and all other fee-for-service billing.
• Follow-up and research outstanding claims
• Identify and correct inaccurate and denied billings, and promptly re-submit
• Works directly with various funding agencies and payers to correct inconsistencies in billings, claims, and reports.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree preferred, must have High School diploma, or equivalent
• Medical Billing and Coding certification, a plus
• Solid experience and understanding in medical billing and coding, minimum of 2 years
