Revenue Accountant - Remote

We are assisting a Massachusetts based software company with their search for an experienced Revenue Accountant to join their team. This is a remote role and will require East Coast hours.

The Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for reporting revenue results on a monthly and quarterly basis. Also, ensuring those results are reported in accordance with Revenue Accounting Guidelines. The team ensures accuracy through corporate control environment as well as by completing quarterly financial audits. This requires close cooperation with other finance and non-finance representatives around the world to support business operations.

Responsiblities:

• Reviewing Sales contracts and identifying revenue adjustments as required based on companys revenue recognition policy
• Participating in month-end and year-end close activities. Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Performing revenue fluctuation analysis to confirm accuracy/completeness
• Preparing related schedules for the Companys quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SEC filings. Performing audit requests and special projects as required.
• Communicating with internal groups for revenue decision making (Sales, Professional Services, Business Finance, Billing and Collections).

Technical Skills:

• CPA preferred
• 3+ years experience working with Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
• Strong Excel Skills (Pivot Tables and Lookups)
