Our client, a distribution company located in Bensenville, is looking for a temporary Human Resources Clerk to assist while an employee is out on maternity leave. The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. This position handles all HR related administrative tasks, maintains up-to-date employee records, and provides general support to the HR team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting, including publishing job ads, scheduling interviews, screening resumes.
- Complete onboarding processes for new employees
- Perform data entry and filing for all HR related documents
- Gather and process paperwork
- Assist with HR projects
- Will process new hire background/certifications/I9s as employees are hired
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training
- Prepare weekly list of new hires for orientation
- Ensure New Hire Paperwork Checklist is complete
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of Human Resources experience
- Knowledge of basic HR functions
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
