Our client, a multinational hedge fund and financial services company, is seeking a Research Assistant to provide administrative/organizational support for 1-2 Portfolio Managers and their direct reports in NYC. The hours are 8/8:30am-5:30/6pm and they are in the office 5 days a week. This is an excellent opportunity to support a successful group while also gaining exposure and taking on additional projects as trust is earned!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, develop relationships with broker sales teams to plan meetings, and log meeting details
  • Manage calendar for team and screen for conflicts
  • Collect and organize research reports, models, and company quarterly and annual reports
  • Book travel arrangements and process expense reports for PMs and team
  • Assist with organizing new hire training schedules and overseeing onboarding
  • Perform special projects for teams or management
  • Develop basic understanding of industries, technology infrastructure of the business, investment philosophy and risk framework

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 - 4 + years administrative assistant experience, preferably within financial services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management skills, highly organized, strong attention to detail
  • Proactive in following up on details, anticipating issues, and closing the loop on all requests
  • Ability to exercise discretion when managing confidential information
  • Mature and strong inter-personal skills; team oriented; ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Adept at problem solving, with ability to be flexible
  • Excellent English, grammar, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a genuine acumen for an environment where there is room for growth/and increasing responsibility

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Up to $80-$100K base depending on experience
