Beacon Hill Financial Staffing, the leader in specialized staffing services for Accounting & Finance professionals is seeking a temporary to hire Staff Accountant. Our client, a fast-growing wine company is seeking a temporary to hire Staff Accountant located in Seattle, WA. The Staff Accountant will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations, analyze balances, and record monthly journal entries to ensure timely revenue and expense recognition
• Prepare monthly financial statements and provide margin, operating expense, and variance analysis
• Manage purchase and sales processes in concert with the operations teams
• Aid in the management of inventory levels through review of aged inventory
• Ensure the company remains in good standing with vendors by monitoring accounts payable and initiating vendor payments, including foreign currency denominated payments
• Monitor Accounts Receivable to preserve or shorten the cash cycle
• Make recommendations to management for process and profitability improvements
• Calculate monthly sales commissions and review bi-weekly payroll reports
• Maintain open lines of communication up and across the organizational chart to sustain proper oversight and to problem solve by leveraging unique skillsets and experiences
• Other projects as assigned

Key Qualifications/Preferred Skills:

• BA or BS degree preferred (ideally in Accounting/Finance)
• Relevant industry experience of 1-2 years
• Self-starter and sense of urgency
• ERP Exposure
