Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Non-Profit Health Care organization in Chicago. We are currently hiring an Accountant.

Responsibilities/Duties

The responsibilities of the Accountant are, but are not limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, statements of activities, and trial balances.

• Prepare standard journal entries and adjust entries for monthly and year-end closing.

• Prepare cash flow analyses and budget variance analyses on a monthly basis.

• Perform quarterly analysis of all balance sheet accounts; perform monthly bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and distribute monthly/semi-annual/annual closing reports for contracts/grants as well as other reports as needed (i.e. budget comparison, collection, and encounter data).

• Ensure revenue and expense allocations to cost centers are accurate and reasonable.

• Prepare cash receipt journal and spreadsheet to recap total receipts on a monthly basis.

• Review cash disbursement transactions monthly to determine appropriate allocations to general ledger accounts and distribution to various budget categories.

Requirements

• Experience in the Non-Profit industry
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong data entry, written, and verbal communication skills
