My client, a large public health nonprofit serving New York City. They are looking for a Senior Grants Accountant to join their growing team. THe person will be responsible for developing and reviewing annual program budgets, preparing periodic fiscal reports, monitoring and reviewing payroll charges, handling monthly G/L production, preparing journal entries and conducting ad hoc account analyses. You will also be expected to monitor spending and encumbrance progress against budget and prepare regular budget modifications, as well as compute and draw down monthly overhead allowances. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 5 years of accounting experience, and experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.
