Looking for a contractor who can assist in starting up and implementing an HR compliance department. This role will be integral to implementation and requires experience with both implementation and administration. Looking for candidates who have experience in HR compliance at a public company with operations in multiple states. This position may evolve, but will not include day-to-day individual employee relations, leaves or benefits, reasonable accommodations, labor relations or employee health and safety.
Details:
- Remote
- Contract- Approximately six months
- Pay starting at $80/hour (pay is based on level of experience)
Key areas will include:
- Affirmative action program and government contractor compliance (scope will be HR compliance responsibilities as a government contractor, such as prevailing wage).
- Wage theft and pay disclosure.
- Other employee notice requirements.
- Drug testing program administration.
- I-9 form oversight (mainly auditing, this role does not complete I-9 forms and does not handle immigration).
- Internal HR audits (audit design and some audit activity).
- HR data retention and some responsibilities for HR data security.
- This position will be responsible for implementing state law requirements in areas of responsibility.
- This person may do some policy drafting, but that is not the focus. The focus is on implementing and administering existing policies.
- This person may do some training but that is not the focus. The focus is on creating procedures, processes and workflows.
