My client, a Family Office in NYC, is seeking a Finance Director to join their team. The accounting function currently is outsourced so you will be tasked with bringing all of the Accounting/Finance functions in house. You will be responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures and setting up best practices. You will maintain company books and records, oversee cash management, handle all reconciliations, and manage all budgets and financial reports. This is a very hands on role that will require you to do all the day to day operational functions of the role in addition to senior level responsibilities. You will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with her and one of the founding partners of the firm. You must have strong financial analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts and convey discretion with sensitive information. Family Office experience highly preferred as well as knowledge of QuickBooks and Bill.com. You must be professional, articulate, and someone who takes initiative. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their prior experience to create something and take ownership of the role. Office schedule is Monday through Thursday in the office and Friday working from home. Targeted compensation is $130-160k depending on experience.
