My client, a growing construction firm in Summit, NJ who has been in business for over 25 years, is looking for a Controller to join their team. My client services high end residential homes in addition to providing architect and interior design services. You will oversee a team of three who manage billing, invoicing, ACH processing and check issuances. You will report directly to the CEO of the firm and act as a strategic business partner as the firm continues to expand. In this role you will be responsible for the financial and accounting functions of the entire company including monitoring financials for both offices (NJ and FL). You will work very closely with the Project Management Teams for both offices in budget maintenance and analysis of job actual costs and committed/projected costs. You will meet with the CEO and the Business Manager monthly to review company profitability and provide strategic recommendations for process improvements. This role will be instrumental in evaluating procedures to improve methods for controlling and reducing overall operational costs. A very exciting opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and who wants to help implement best practices and really make an impact on how things are done. You will have complete autonomy to lead the team and make changes accordingly while creating systems and procedures to achieve efficiency. You will be required to be in the office every day and must have management experience as well. Any knowledge of Trimble Viewpoint Vista and Teams a plus.
