My client, a global Software Development company, continues to grow and has a newly created role for a Staff Accountant. This position will report to the Controller and work alongside a team of 5. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR and account analysis. You will perform all reconciliations, monitor expense reports, post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and you will assist in prepaid and accrued expenses analysis and deferred revenue analysis. In addition, you will assist with the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and help and prepare balance sheets and income statements. You will be required to go into the office 4 days/week (office is located in Long Island City) and will have a catered lunch offered daily. My client offers very competitive benefits and are targeting a compensation of $75k.
