Job/Project Description:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Atlassian Tool Administrator/SME to work for a fast-growing enterprise organization to help them with the implementation and training of their Atlassian tool set. This person will also own the integration of these tools with other widefly used tooks like Smartsheet or GitHub, etc. For anyone with a strong background in the administration and use of the Atlassian tool suite, this is a great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary owner and administrator for Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
- Determine the overall strategy and vision of the Atlassian products and decide on product features based on end users' needs and preferences.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align tool usage with project goals and business needs.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of Atlassian tools and workflows and recommend enhancements or changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure effective use of Atlassian tools in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
- Develop and maintain Jira and Smartsheet reports, dashboards, and workflows to support project tracking and operational efficiency.
- Manage integrations between Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and other platforms, including Smartsheet, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Provide user training, support, and troubleshooting for Atlassian tools and integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with new features, updates, and best practices within the Atlassian ecosystem and ensure the organization is leveraging the tools to their fullest potential.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as an administrator or technical SME of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is required
- Must have proven experience in building and maintaining reports and dashboards within Jira
- Must have a strong understanding of Smartsheet and experience in integrating it with Atlassian products
- Must have experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Must have technical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot issues within Atlassian tools and integrations
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
- Must have the ability to train and guide users in maximizing the potential of Atlassian tools
- Any certifications in Atlassian tools is a plus
- Any experience with development platforms like GitHub or GitLab is ideal
- Any familiarity with scripting or automation in Atlassian products using Jira Automation or ScriptRunner is ideal
