Employee Relations Specialist
The Employee Relations (ER) team plays a crucial role in ensuring that employees experience dignity and fairness when addressing some of the most sensitive workplace issues. The team provides leaders with coaching and a consistent framework to support employee performance while fostering a positive work environment. The work of the ER team helps mitigate organizational risk, build trust, restore performance, and deliver actionable insights.
Position Overview:
As a member of the Employee Relations team, you will contribute meaningfully to the businesses and teams you support. You will collaborate with a wide range of leaders who seek your guidance on sensitive matters involving their teams. Your role will ensure employees feel heard and respected while navigating workplace challenges. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team dedicated to driving success across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide managers with guidance on improving employee performance and elevating their leadership skills to better coach their teams.
- Help managers deliver a consistent and effective employee experience when handling sensitive issues such as misconduct, accommodations, and separations.
- Pair regulatory expertise with empathy and objectivity to investigate and resolve concerns related to harassment, discrimination, and misconduct.
- Assist leaders with reorganization and restructuring efforts while sharing best practices to build organizational capabilities.
- Analyze trends, develop actionable insights, identify training opportunities, and suggest policy and process improvements.
- Partner with various stakeholders to ensure all solutions align with company culture, policies, and legal requirements.
- Contribute to ER priorities, focusing on data analytics, training, and process improvements.

- Proactively identify solutions that add value and address complex challenges.
- Maintain an unbiased perspective, challenge assumptions, and assess situations from multiple angles to identify the best outcomes.
- Effectively persuade leaders to adopt recommendations despite not having decision-making authority.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and advance the mission and reputation of the ER team.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn from various sources, including peers and partners, to help the organization meet its goals.
- Integrate leadership behaviors into daily work and help others develop and grow.
- Maintain a calm and confident demeanor during high-stress situations, prioritize competing demands, and consistently deliver excellent results.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Expertise in performance management and the full performance management lifecycle.
- Strong consultative, coaching, and action-planning skills.
- Experience investigating and resolving misconduct issues.
- Ability to anticipate issues, problem-solve, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR-related regulations is strongly preferred.
