Bankruptcy Paralegal - Hybrid - No Billables

Beacon Hill Legal is searching for a Bankruptcy Paralegal for a major law firm's Manhattan or NNJ office. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office.

This person must have at least 3 years of large Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience. This person would ideally be experienced in filing in NJ state and federal courts, trial/hearing prep, and drafting court documents.

The salary for this role will range from $90,000-$130,000. This role has no billable hour requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, file, and serve pleadings while keeping track of deadlines in New Jersey and federal bankruptcy cases nationwide.
• Administer case calendars, task lists, critical date trackers, and manage files to support teams in intricate Chapter 11 representations for official creditors' committees and individual creditor cases.
• Complete preparation and filing of proofs of claim, monitor claims, and contribute to the claims reconciliation process.
• Draft various court documents, including retention and fee applications.
• Monitor case dockets for relevant pleadings, summarize findings, and circulate information as necessary.
• Facilitate hearing preparation and support by coordinating appearances and preparing materials.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in large Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in a law firm setting
