A client of ours is looking to fill their open Accounts Payable Specialist role in the Wayne, PA area!
Accounts Payable Specialist
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting or related business field; Bachelor's Degree a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly with Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Great Plains and/or Coupa experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and organize work and handle high volume of invoices from multiple locations
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare invoice batches for data entry and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained
- Enter and review invoice batches for accuracy
- Assist with invoice routing and processing within procurement software
- Process employee expense requests
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger coding of all invoices, including accounts and cost centers
- Maintain, monitor and track all accounts payable and ensure invoices are queued for payment timely
- Assist with answering phone calls and emails from vendors and internal employees. Communicate timely and accurate information regarding payment status
- Assist with resolution of invoice and payment discrepancies
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable processing and payment
