Our client is a presitgious Law Firm in Philadelphia seeking a Temporary Human Resource Specialist to join their team. This role is involved in supporitng our client's Leave of Absence Cases including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation request while supporting general human resource responsibilities. We are seeking a professional with proven human resource experience as well as exposure to the Leave of Absence function.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of expeirence in a Human Resources related position.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, including leave administration and employee relations.
- Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), workers' compensation, and state/local leave laws.
- Experience handling leave requests and ensuring compliance with legal and company guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing employee records and leave documentation.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software for tracking leave and employee data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, managers, and external partners.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of payroll processes related to leave administration is a plus.
About the Job:
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including open enrollment and responding to employee inquiries about benefits.
- Coordinate and track employee leaves of absence, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to applicable laws (e.g., FMLA, workers' compensation).
- Support employee relations initiatives by helping to organize employee engagement activities, events, and internal communication efforts.
This position is a temporary role providing support to their Human Resource team. This position is requiring candidates to be local to Philadelphia due to the position operatiing on a hybrid workplace model.
