Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Benefits and Leave of Absence Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. Particularly, this role will have a large focus on leave management and ensuring requests align with policies and legal requirements.

About You:

• 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on LOA
• Proven knowledge of FMLA, LOA, Short Term/Long Term Disability, and additional benefits offerings
• Incredible analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and juggle multiple deadlines, projects, and priorities
• Desire to help and solve complex problems
• Utmost discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
• Working knowledge of employment law across various states

Day to Day:

• Gather, review and process information regarding leaves of absence
• Respond to all employee inquiries related to leave policies, entitlements and procedures
• Update all records and maintain records of employee requests, accruals, approvals and denials
• Assist with benefits eligibility and determination, acting as a resourceful point of contact for all employees
• Ensure policies, procedures, and federal regulations are adhered to
• Utilize HRIS system and databases to accurately track employee information including benefits elections and processing leaves
