Our client, a local nonprofit providing economic resources to Chicago entrepreneurs and small businesses, is seeking a Development Manager to join their team. This role will champion development and fundraising efforts for the organization, reporting directly into the Executive Director. This individual will serve as the point person for external stakeholders including individual and annual donors, corporate sponsorships, and prospects. The Development Manager will work with leadership to create and implement development strategy, in addition to follow through and execution of plans.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in development and fundraising
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Mission-driven and community-focused mindset
• Knowledge of the grant approval process
• Proficiency in a CRM or database similar to Salesforce or Raiser's Edge
• Incredible interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders and donors
• Ability to travel to and from meetings with potential donors in the Chicagoland area
