Our client, a wine and spirits company, is looking for an HR Manager. This is a growing company located Highland Park with a fun and energetic office and a rapidly expanding international business. The HR Manager will handle all facets of HR with a strong emphasis on recruiting, payroll, and benefits. This is an onsite role at their headquarters with the ability to work independently and work closely alongside the leaders of the company.

THE ROLE:

  • Develops and administers company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with Company objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
  • Manage the recruiting cycle, working closely with staffing agencies both domestically and internationally
  • Oversee bi-monthly payroll process for US employees
  • Manage benefits programs and annual insurance renewals.
  • Coordinates training programs, personal and career development, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, diversity and benefit programs.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Reviews employee relations issues and recommends appropriate responses to management.

YOU:

  • 5+ years Human resources experience
  • Experience suing ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Experience within the management of benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, training, and compensation
  • Ability to work independently as a one person HR team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Superior attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and strong organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals in all levels of the firm
