Our client, a newly incorporated charitable foundation, seeks to hire a Temporary Operations Manager to provide maternity leave coverage. This is a primarily remote role but does require you to be based in the Greater NYC area in order to potentially meet vendors, attend meetings, and plan events/fundraisers; they would love for this person to have one half day per week in the office. The role will begin part time, roughly ~20 hours/week to start, with the potential to increase hours and extend on an open-ended basis when the current Manager returns, for the right candidate. Hours/schedule are flexible depending on the candidate's needs. Pay rate up to $33/hour.

Responsibilities

• Organizing the foundations day to day operations,
• Establishing and implementing board strategy, creating and organizing records, establishing vendor relationships (bookkeeper, marketing, etc.), setting up basic operations including a PO Box, phone number, website creation, etc.
• Assist with event/fundraiser planning as the foundation takes off.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience creating and establishing operations within the non-profit space; fundraising experience/interest
• Highly organized, intuitive, and can prioritize
