Our client, an association in Washington, DC, is looking for a temporary Copy Editor/Proofreader to support their team!
About You:
- 2+ years of relevant experience; legal experience is not required but is a major plus.
- Experience with magazine, online magazines, or publishers is ideal.
- Proficient in grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and adherence to style (familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style is desired).
- Must be a good communicator, detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have access to reliable internet connection and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The Job:
- Provide support to the Senior Content Editor.
- Fact check/edit drafts and proofs for the bi-monthly magazine and online content (includes news stories and blog posts).
- Support content creation; collaborate with managers on writing content.
- Proofread a legal practice manual.
- Complete additional tasks and provide support as needed.
