Rapidly growing Think Tank located in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary to Permanent Events Associate to support their Director of Events. This is an amazing opportunity to be in a newly created role and have a first-hand touch on a variety of events the organization puts on in this exciting stage! This role will require 5 days on site from 9am-6pm with availability after-hours for such events that can sometimes run late. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, detailed, and has experience in the events space.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with booking travel, making reservations as needed. Research reservations depending on the event/need.
  • Call, source and research vendors.
  • Execute project timelines; make sure all is going according to plan form start to finish. Be on top of timelines and know what needs to be prioritized.
  • Other ad-hoc project-related or administrative-related tasks as needed; be a right hand to the Director of Events.
Qualifications:
  • Some experience in the events space. Experience in a start-up or professional services environment highly preferred. Hospitality experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of NYC, savvy; knowing the go-to spots for reservations, parties, meetings, celebrations, etc..
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented; team player and open-minded attitude
Compensation/Beenfits:
  • Up to 75K + Great benefits
