Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to oversee strategic and day-to-day activities related to our Corporate and Transactional services. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Director of Business Development and collaborate closely with the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer, section heads, and practice group leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Materials: Lead the development of client proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs for our Corporate and Transactional practice areas.
Practice Group Meetings: Organize and facilitate practice group meetings for all Corporate and Transactional practices. Manage follow-up actions to maintain momentum.
Business Intelligence Research: Utilize various tools to conduct competitive intelligence on clients, potential clients, practices, industries, and competitors.
Internal Communications: Assist in creating and distributing the firm's Internal Business Development Newsletter and other internal communication materials.
Awards & Surveys: Identify relevant award and survey opportunities for our Corporate and Transactional practices. Oversee the submission process, collaborate with attorneys on content, and ensure timely submissions.
Event Management: Plan and execute local market events and seminars, typically one event per quarter, from inception to completion.
Public Relations: Collaborate with transactional attorneys to identify newsworthy information for sharing with local markets and business/industry trade media contacts. Provide guidance on article/pitch topics.
Advertising: Determine the annual publication strategy to promote the strengths and specialties of our Corporate and Transactional practices. Develop or update content for advertisements.
