Our client, a well-known higher education institution in Philadelphia, is seeking a Student Financial Aid Specialist to join their team on a contract basis! This position will be dealing with financial transactions, as well as communicating with students, staff, and faculty.

About You:

• 1+ year of experience in an administrative or data entry-based role
• Experience processing Financial Aid information highly preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent active listening and problem-solving ability
• Strong organizational skills, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

Day to Day:

• Assist students with financial aid eligibility and application status
• Answer any inquires and requests from students, faculty, and staff in a timely manner
• Verify and handle sensitive and confidential information
• Follow up with escalated issues as needed
• Update the organization's system with changes to personal information and payments

This contract position is slated to last at least 6 months and is paying up to $22/hour, depending on experience.
