Our client, a professional scientific association located in Washington, DC, is seeking a temporary-to-hire Administrative Coordinator to support their Events team!
About You:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2+ years of experience with logistics as an in-person meeting/event planner.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing logistics for virtual events.
- MS Office and Adobe Suite knowledge.
- Must be willing to travel at least 10% of the year.
The Job:
- Manage around 5 big events throughout the year and some additional smaller events.
- Manage, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects/logistics of in-person and virtual meetings/events.
- Liaise with staff, speakers, members, volunteers, and vendors to ensure positive experience.
- Act as special project support for other departments and assist with events/meeting needs.
- Provide additional support and complete additional tasks as assigned.
This is a temporary-to-hire position that pays $22/hr-$24/hr when temporary and converts to a salary of $52K-$55K when made permanent (DOE). This is an excellent role for someone that has superb meetings & events skills. If this sounds like you, apply today with your Microsoft Word resume!
