Position Overview:

The Fundraising Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing the philanthropic endeavors of the organization. Reporting directly to the Development Manager, this position is responsible for nurturing and expanding the annual fundraising program to generate vital contributions for our organization. By cultivating donor relationships and overseeing fundraising initiatives, the Fundraising Specialist will contribute to the growth and sustainability of our mission. This role demands an appreciation for the diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of our beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance the annual fundraising program, focusing on donor retention and acquisition.
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward donors, building lasting relationships through personalized engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events, outreach campaigns, and other fundraising activities.
  • Employ constituent software to manage donor data, track interactions, and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Implement innovative approaches to diversify donor pipelines and expand fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as business, communication, or liberal arts is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated fundraising experience, showcasing achievements in securing annual gifts and supporting fundraising events and outreach initiatives.
  • Proven track record of effectively engaging different donor segments and achieving fundraising goals.
  • Strong organizational, managerial, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using constituent software for donor management.
  • A deep understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic attributes of our service population.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular use of computers for administrative tasks and data management.
  • Perform clerical functions in a collaborative office environment.
  • Attendance at public functions, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented setting.
