Our client is a reputable university based in Waltham, MA seeking a Gift Processing Assistant. This role pays 23/hr and comprises a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm schedule, slated to go 6 months with opportunity to extend.

Job Description:

-Under the direction of the Director of Gift Admin, and working with other gift processing staff, the Gift Processing Specialist will aid in the timely processing of all gifts, grants, pledges and payments in the fundraising database system while ensuring compliance with University and IRS regulations. This individual will meet core and partnership values of teamwork, integrity, accountability and respect.

-Process gifts and pledges (cash, checks, securities, gifts-in-kind, credit cards, wires, matching gifts, payroll deductions and Donor-Advised Funds) from alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and other constituents of the University with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

-Create, edit and maintain accurate constituent records in the fundraising database, ensuring that all biographical and donor contact information conforms to the standards established by the Advancement Services Office.

-Copy, scan and upload gift, pledge and designation details into Ascend.

- Assists with printing and mailing gift receipts and pledge reminders.

- Serve as back up to the Gift Processing Specialist when necessary by preparing bank deposits, performing remote deposit captures for check donations, processing credit card donations as well as compiling and verifying gifts.

-Assists with other general office duties.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree required.

-At least 1 year of previous administrative experience in a higher education setting.

-Gift processing/acknowledgement experience.

-Salesforce experience preferable.
