Our client is a small firm located in Elk Grove Village that is looking to add a Human Resource Generalist to their HR Department. This role will assist the HR Manager with administrative duties and support all functions of the HR Department.
The Role:
- Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and new hire training
- Maintain time and attendance system for all employees
- Maintain employee files, running reports
- Review and update policies and procedures in Employee Handbook
- Respond to all inquires for employees regarding leave management, HR procedures and policies, unemployment claims, and any other employment inquires
- Maintain OSHA records and files including accident reports
- Assist HR manager on investigating human resource issues, legal issues, and government compliance issues
- Other duties as assigned
You:
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
- Supervisor experience is a plus
- Extensive understanding of HR functions
- Experience using time and attendance software
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
