Our client, a large trade association located in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Retirement & Pension Plan Specialist to join their team!
About You:
- 5+ years of relevant experience working on pension or 401k plans is required; health insurance experience preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.
- Experience preparing legal documents for retirement and pension plans.
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, PBGC and DOL regulations.
- Proactive and a self-starter, no handholding needed.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule on-site 2 days/week in the Arlington, VA office.
The Job:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for retirement plan proposals and amendments.
- Work across departments to provide retirement plan options to members.
- Prepare necessary materials for boards, notices, and other documentation for amending plans.
- Consult and guide members through RS, SERP, and 401 (k) plan/amendment reviews.
- Ensure internal review has been documented and completed in a timely manner.
- Additional tasks as required.
