Our client, a private holding firm, is looking for a Director of Facilities to supervise the security, maintenance, operations, and housekeeping for their Chicago properties. This role requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, level of initiative, and working knowledge of facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and is responsible for systems operations, maintenance and repairs of 5 locations in Chicago
- Hire and train reporting staff members
- Create and maintain safety standards in facilities work activities
- Supervise building security and maintain security requirements
- Schedule all facilities deliveries and pickups
- Manage inventory of all stored facilities equipment and office equipment
- Assist with construction projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
About You:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience managing a team of employees and external vendors
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of company operations
