Our client, a K-8 Reform Jewish Independent School, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their team! This position is fully onsite, Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30 pm and pays up to 24/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
* Track relevant events, people, and deadlines at private and public schools, and provide information to the Director of High School Placement.
* Ongoing communication to students, families, and teachers to ensure they are aware of, reminded of, and adhere to deadlines.
* Upload and submit relevant documentation and application materials through online portals (Ravenna, Gateway, SSAT.org, etc.) for each student.
* Coordinate with SSAT prep providers for course opportunities for students.
* Schedule family meetings for the Director of High School Placement.
* Creating and maintaining students' folders with relevant applicant materials.
* Schedule and coordinate meetings with admissions representatives and guidance counselors, including on campus visits when appropriate.
* Update and maintain accurate school placement data in the database.
* Handle all mass school placement correspondence.
* Help coordinate any school placement events, assisting in event logistics.
* Attend independent school in-person and virtual fairs to collect information and to network.
* Maintaining inventory of School placement documents and materials

Qualifications:
* College education and at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in an educational setting.
* Excellent organizational skills and a drive to do things efficiently and effectively.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong office technology skills (especially Google Suite), experience with databases and/or school application systems (Veracross, Ravenna, etc.).
* Ability to create effective slide decks for presentations.
* Knowledge of education and an understanding of child development and learning styles.
