Non-profit organization promoting Americans with disabilities is seeking to hire a Temporary Communications Assistant for 5-8 weeks with the potential to extend. This role is fully remote with the option of meeting 1x per/week at a WeWork space in Midtown, Manhattan to collaborate with the team. Hours are 9am-5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate has social media and/or non-profit experience with great writing and editing skills. Pay rate up to $20/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing copy for social media (Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
- Assist in development of social media content calendar
- Schedule social media posts on all social platforms using Sprout Social
- Engage with social media audience on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
- Assist with writing copy for eblasts
- Contribute creative ideas for social media and email campaigns
- Make website updates and/or edits using WordPress
Qualifications:
- 6 months+ of work experience within Marketing using social media in some capacity
- Experience in the non-profit space a plus
- Excellent writing and editing kills; extremely detail-oriented
- Team player mentality with a positive attitude and passion for the organization's mission
- Knowledge of CRMs a plus
