About the Job:

  • Manage various event logistics, such as scheduling meeting rooms, updating the events schedule in the EMS, and coordinating catering arrangements.
  • Obtain and compare vendor quotes, oversee vendor selection, and ensure adherence to contract terms, including deposits, deadlines, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with meeting owners to monitor budgets for routine meetings and events, ensuring costs are within budget limits.
  • Enter event logistics data into the EMS for weekly reports distributed to MEP, Facilities, Security, and Engineering departments.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities department to confirm meeting details, including audiovisual needs and room setups, and assist with event setup, support, and breakdown.
  • Assist in generating reports from the EMS, covering room charge financials, weekly events schedules, and detailed room setup requirements.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; Minimum of an Associates degree is required.
  • 1+ years of events or meetings experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Tech savvy with database management experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently are required.

About the Position:

  • $25/hr-$28/hr while temporary
  • $55K-$58K when permanent
  • Hybrid on-site 3 days/week
  • Office in Washington, DC
