Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a temporary to hire Development Associate to join their busy Washington, DC team!
About the Job:
* Establish strategic partnerships with sponsors to enhance impact.
* Oversee the volunteer outreach program, including maintaining contact lists and coordinating outreach initiatives on college campuses, such as Greek life and sports teams.
* Create and implement effective marketing strategies and volunteer training programs, incorporating onsite and virtual training with tablets and setup guides.
* Lead efforts in recruiting, training, and empowering volunteers for the volunteer program; contribute to the planning and execution of end-of-year stewardship activities.
* Organize internal mailings, distribute materials, and craft copy and designs for event-related marketing assets.
* Handle data and records management for events, inventory of supplies, email/phone communications, personalized outreach for event registration, and manage travel and logistics for events in designated cities.
About You:
* 1+ years of development or fundraising experience in a professional setting is required.
* A bachelor's degree is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Experience with Raiser's Edge is preferred.
* High level of detail orientation with the ability to multitask.
* Able to travel for 7-10 events per year.
About the Position:
* $22/hr-$24/hr, while temporary
* $50K-$55K, when permanent
* Hybrid schedule in the DC office.
