Our client, a law firm in northern New Jersey is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. The hours are 9am - 6pm with 1 hour lunch and a hybrid work model offering 1-2 days remote per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative functions for attorneys, document formatting, deposition binder preparations
  • Assist the Executive and Administrative Directors with various administrative or HR duties such as scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding documents
  • Format, edit, proofread and maintain a variety of legal documents associated with discovery and trial preparation
  • Maintain calendars, including scheduling appointments, booking conference rooms, making travel arrangements
  • Prepare and process expense reports in Concur
  • Meeting preparations including food ordering and assisting other team members with proper set-up.
  • Handle attorney's incoming and outgoing mail

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal analyst, paralegal, and/or legal assistant at a similar type of law firm (MDL or class action)
  • B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team as well as work independently

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Up to $75K base depending on experience + bonus + OT
  • 15 PTO days, 5 sick days, 2 personal days and 10 holidays
