Beacon Hill has partnered with a global food provider to find a Human Resource Business Partner to be a part of a small but mighty HR team. This role will have a heavy involvement in employee relations, recruiting, new hire orientation and onboarding. They are seeking someone who can work onsite in Mundelein and who is bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside line leaders to implement and manage projects designed to improve employee satisfaction.
- Create and execute HR strategies for manufacturing and functional departments (including Quality, EHS, Production, and Facilities).
- Forecast and plan for future HR needs and trends in collaboration with line leaders.
- Collaborate with site manufacturing leadership to ensure effective organizational structure, design, and staffing that align with organizational goals, boosting overall effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leaders, offering guidance on talent acquisition, succession planning, employee recognition, rewards, performance improvement, and career development.
- Actively participate in the leadership team to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, enhancing team morale, productivity, and retention.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues in both union and non-union settings, ensuring thorough and unbiased investigations.
- Support recruitment efforts for both exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant laws.
- Hold regular meetings with business units to address HR-related topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources Management.
- SHRM certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, including compensation, organizational assessment, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.
- Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and oral translation) is required.
