Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an experienced controller/accounting manager that will oversee the financial operations of the firm alongside the managing attorney and COO.

Duties and responsibilities :

Learn and understand the firm's processes to ensure effectiveness of internal controls and revise and or create controls when needed to ensure accurate data and financial integrity.

Oversee accounting personnel to ensure protocols are adhered to.

Review company's financial data periodically to ensure activities are proceeding per applicable laws and regulations.

Prepare accurate and timely special reports requested by management.

Manage firm credit cards to ensure monthly reconciliation and correct coding in accounting system.

Maintain compliance with trust accounting regulations.

Manage the account payable function, including accurate and timely payment of invoices.

Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely deposits and recording of payments; communicate past due accounts with managing attorney.

Develop and manage the year-end close process.

Perform other duties as assigned.
