Our client, a Synagogue in Lexington, Massachusetts, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help maintain the general workflow, provide quality information to others, represent the Synagogue in a professional manner, and contribute to a friendly and enjoyable work environment. The Administrative Assistant will work under the Executive Director and Director of Philanthropy. This full-time role will compensate up to $27/hour depending on experience.

Job Duties:

  • Human Resource Assistant (background checks, basic onboarding, partnering with finance on direct deposit and 403b, etc.)
  • Must have CRM experience ( salesforce, Raiser's edge to name a couple)
  • Working with ShulCloud database (reporting, mailings, database updates)
  • Technology contact for ordering computers and liaising with their tech consultant agency
  • Brandywine contact for new phones, extensions, changes
  • Misc. projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional administrative skills including time-management, budget management and calendaring
  • Strong verbal and written communication ability
  • Detail-oriented, able to think proactively, to prioritize work and to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and work with staff across multiple departments
  • Strong interpersonal skills including 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Excellent computer skills in a PC environment (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) with the capability to master new software applications and technologies in database management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, friendly environment
  • Comfortable talking with congregants, prospective members, clergy team, educators, volunteer lay leaders
  • This position requires a highly professional demeanor and the ability to handle confidential materials with discretion
