Cybersecurity Analyst
Milwaukee, WI 2-3 days a week onsite
6-12 month Contract to Hire
Target Conversion Salary: $80,000-90,000
Join our team as a Cybersecurity Analyst and play a vital role in fortifying our company's cybersecurity infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to threat anticipation, detection, and response, ensuring the resilience of our systems and operations. This role encompasses both strategic design and hands-on operational involvement in maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols.
**Responsibilities:**
- Safeguard enterprise information and operations against disruptions, breaches, or data compromise, prioritizing security across all facets.
- Design and develop secure IT systems, adhering to established standards, compliance requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Conduct specialized assessment of incoming cybersecurity data for intelligence relevance.
- Analyze information from diverse sources to identify vulnerabilities and potential exploitations.
- Assess threats and vulnerabilities, devising appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, Sarbanes Oxley).
- Develop and maintain cyber indicators to monitor the operating environment, issuing threat assessments as needed.
- Manage identity and access, ensuring secure system entry and data protection.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field preferred.
- Alternatively, a combination of associate degree, relevant military or professional cybersecurity experience, and recognized certifications (CISSP, GAIC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, CISM) will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical cybersecurity experience.
**Preferred Skills:**
Demonstrated experience or certifications in any of the following areas will be highly advantageous:
- Active Directory Design and Management
- Identity and Access Management
- Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
- Scripting Proficiency: PowerShell or .NET (VB or C#)
- Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Data Security
- Vulnerability Management
- Network Access Management, DNS, DHCP
- EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response)
- Mobility Security
- NERC-CIP Compliance Knowledge
**Note:** This role falls within a job family (IT Cybersecurity Analyst/Senior IT Cybersecurity Analyst) where experience is the key differentiator.
