We have several new scientific-focused position openings at Amgen for varying levels of experience.
Pay rate range: $25 - $35 hourly. Based on experience level of position and candidate.
Varying Responsibilities:
- Plans, monitors, or conducts, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data.
- Effectively transfers experimental methods from literature to the lab and makes modifications as necessary
- Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment and with one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques
- Assist in daily bioreactor operations, including bioreactor set-up and daily sampling
- Perform data analysis and data compilation
- Learn and perform various upstream and downstream protocols from SOP
Varying Requirements and/or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with execution of lab instrument assays.
- Experience with Biovia or other ELN software platforms.
- Proficiency with Excel for spreadsheet section in templates.
- Chromatography -Liquid Chromatography (LC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
- Prior experience with data analytical tools (Excel, Spotfire, etc.) is preferred. Experience with statistical analysis and programming in JMP, R, and/or Python environments.
- Basic understanding of protein chromatography, filtration or cell culture principles; hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, and/or purification operations.
- Familiarity with design of experiments and statistical analysis of data
