Job Description: We are supporting a global client of ours who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle payroll processing for our Canadian employees using Ceridian, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all payroll-related tasks. This role will involve collaborating with various departments, utilizing payroll systems, and contributing to special projects aimed at enhancing our payroll functions.

Salary: $72,000 - $78,000 Canadian - Depending on prior expereince

Responsibilities:

  • Process and finalize full cycle payroll for Canadian employees on a semi-monthly basis using Ceridian
  • Receive and process payroll change information from local offices and Workday
  • Audit payroll data for completeness and accuracy, taking appropriate action where needed
  • Compute retroactive pay, partial pay, and overpayments accurately based on input data
  • Review bi-weekly time sheets for accuracy and input into payroll systems
  • Prepare special payment files using external programs for input to processing platform
  • Maintain payroll data and ensure system integrity
  • Build strong partnerships with colleagues across the organization and provide support to leadership on processing efficiencies, standardization, and employee development
  • Collaborate with the North America Payroll team on special projects aimed at modernizing payroll functions
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience with automated systems, including report writing tools
  • Expertise in Ceridian and ADP platforms preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes
  • Experience with Canadian payroll taxation rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of provincial, state, federal, and local payroll laws and best practices
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Excellent customer service orientation with problem-solving skills and a "can do" attitude
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
