Our client in Philadelphia, PA is looking for an application developer specialist to join their team.

Position Description:

  • Expertise on an existing or planned products - from an applications perspective.
  • Working closely with customers and IS colleagues.
  • Participates as a lead on modifications/new development for new products.
  • Maintains awareness of IS requirements and scalability issues during design and development.
  • Tests and reviews tests performed by more junior team members.
  • Conducts code reviews for quality and adherence to standards.
  • Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
  • Explain applications changes to IS team members.
  • Participate in technical design, contributing insights and ideas.
  • May conduct diagnosis of standard business problems, factoring in an understanding of current technical and applications architecture.
  • Troubleshoot applications problems independently.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to lead technical and functional discussions with vendors, business, QA, developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and senior executives.
  • Experience with Splunk, SolarWinds (or other production monitoring tools) (you will be working in a production support team).
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL
  • Visio and MS Project experience
  • Subject matter expertise in IS for their products and able to troubleshoot most issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant programming languages, tools, and technologies for the area supported.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile methods.
  • Aware of changing business needs for the area/areas supported.
  • Ability to discuss technology-related business problems with clients and project partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience

  • Tableau reporting skills.
