This position is responsible for performing complex database searches and analysis of conflict reports in order to facilitate the Firm's ethical obligations when opening new matters. This position participates on the Intake Conflicts Committee which oversees the Firm's matter intake and conflict system, an important part of the risk management process. ONCE TRAINED, THIS PERSON CAN TRANSITION TO A HYBRID SCHEDULE (2 OR 3 DAYS AT HOME).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review conflict requests for accuracy
- On-line research
- Provide assistance to requestors regarding information on conflict requests
- Search/Query the Intapp System database to produce conflict reports
- Interact with attorneys regarding content of reports
- Interact with conflict supervisor and/or ethics partner when needed for complex ethic issues
- Open matters in the Aderant System
- Follow-up with employees regarding outstanding conflict reports and NBM's (New Business Memos)
- Add conflict resolutions and parties to conflict system
- Provide status information on matter openings
- Perform data maintenance on the Intapp System
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of executing database searches
- Organized, accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Prior law firm experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a legal environment and with conflict of interest experience preferred
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong research skills required
